Spice & Stitch — Self-Promotional Brand Identity
Project Type-Logo and Brand Identity
Overview:
Inspiration-Moodboard
Software- Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Dimension
Year- Spring 2025
Spice & Stitch is a conceptual branding and identity project that celebrates culture through craft and flavor. The brand reimagines traditional Phulkari embroidery patterns from Punjab, weaving them into modern packaging for artisan spices, coffee, and lifestyle goods. It merges culinary storytelling with textile heritage to create a vibrant, meaningful identity.
I designed a full suite of packaging and brand collateral, including spice jars, coffee bags, aprons, tote bags, ribbons, envelopes, and business cards. The designs emphasized bold geometric motifs, layered textures, and hand-dyed aesthetics to highlight authenticity and warmth. I also created an animated logo and stickers to bring movement and tactile realism to the brand. Adobe Dimension was used for packaging mockups to visualize how the products would appear in real life.
The challenge was translating a deeply traditional craft into a modern design language without losing its cultural essence. I had to carefully balance authenticity with contemporary appeal while ensuring consistency across diverse applications, from packaging to promotional materials. Since this was a self-promotional project, another challenge was positioning it not just as a design exercise, but as a narrative about cultural identity, sustainability, and empowerment in the kitchen.
